Smiles In Six Months!

Smiles In Six Months London

Fitness For Six-Month Smiles

The name originated from the fact that the course of treatment usually lasts six months. One of the primary reasons Six Month Smiles is a great option when time is of the essence is that it can be completed far more quickly than a full-mouth orthodontic treatment. Six Month Smiles are also quite comfortable. This is because the braces are only applied to a small number of teeth, as opposed to full orthodontics.

Not to mention, Six Month Smiles are incredibly discreet. Virtually imperceptible tooth-coloured brackets and wires enable this. A six-month smile is significantly more noticeable than a mouth full of gleaming metal!

Can I Get A Six-Month Smile Procedure That Fits Me?

The following would make the treatment ideal:

  • Teeth Gaps: If you can see spaces between your teeth
  • Packed Teeth: if the teeth in your mouth overlap or are too near to one another.
  • Underbites: I f the lower jaw and teeth are more prominent than the upper jaw.
  • Overbites: when the top jaw and teeth jut out more than the lower jaw.
  • Cross-Bite: if the teeth are not in the proper position when you bite down.
  • Openbites: when you bite down without your teeth touching or meeting.
  • Overjets: if your upper mandible's anterior teeth protrude past the gum line.

How Many Steps?

Phase One

You must first schedule an initial consultation with us at Art Dentistry. During this consultation, we will be able to assess whether Six Month Smiles braces are the best option for you or if more involved orthodontic care would be more suitable.

Phase Two

You will need to come back so we can take impressions of your teeth if you choose to move forward with Six Month Smiles and find that you are a suitable fit. These will then be forwarded to the lab so that your brace can be manufactured. A patient tray kit makes sure the brackets are positioned correctly so they can adhere to your teeth before the wires are placed.

Phase Three

You should plan to see Art Dentistry about once a month during your treatment. This allows us to make the necessary small modifications to your brace when your teeth start to emerge into their new locations.

Phase Four

You will need to wear a retainer to make sure the teeth hold their new locations after the brace is removed at the end of treatment. This is a crucial stage in every orthodontic procedure!
